Choose the Correct Walton Office
The Walton County Jail answers jail questions at (850) 892-8196 and jail@waltonso.org. Its current address is 40 Sheriff Circle, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433. Public administrative hours are seven days a week, including holidays, from 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. These are office hours, not guaranteed release times.
WCSO public-record requests may be sent through the online request portal or to wcsopublicrecords@waltonso.org. The records FAQ lists 37 S. 10th Street and 10 Sheriff Circle in DeFuniak Springs, open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays. Call before visiting because office functions can change.
Use the route that matches the question:
- For a released county detainee or a WCSO release record, begin with the Walton County release search and records path.
- For supervision after release, use Post-Release Supervision and the office shown in the FDC record.
- For a same-day list request, follow 24-Hour Releases; WCSO does not publish a complete online feed.
- For a future date or alert, use Release Date Lookup or VINE Inmate Check.
